Welcome to GoodNess Ridge Farm, LLC – located in beautiful Frederick County, Mount Airy, Maryland. We are a small breeder of German Oldenburg sporthorses as well as a state-of-the-art training and boarding facility.
The farm was named for the 1998 imported German Oldenburg Verband mare, Baronessa (Day Dream/Rubinstein I/Westminster), aka Ness, Shari’s foundation broodmare and FEI competition horse. GoodNess Ridge Farm gives exceptional care for horse and rider and provides access to international-caliber clinicians and educational programs.
Our farm manager, Romualdo, has been taking care of horses his entire life–first on his family’s farm in Mexico, then in the United States on the race track followed by more than 15 years overseeing a top quality Hunter/Jumper barn. Now we are fortunate to have him with us.
Head Trainer, Siobhan Byrne, offers instruction and training for students and horses at all levels. She will give your started youngster a wonderful introduction to dressage or bring your experienced horse to the FEI competition level. Applications are now being accepted for clients and horses in training. Please contact Siobhan or Shari for more information.
