| Aster is currently in training with noted judge and course designer, Kenny Krome, at Persimmon Tree Farm in Westminster, MD. Kenny feels she has a special talent for the Jumpers and she did quite well with him at Swan Lake December 23rd (three clean rounds and placed 2nd & 4th in the two jump-off classes they participated in). In February-March 2008, Aster spent 3 weeks with Kenny in Ocala, FL where Aster jumped clean and fast and even placed in a few classes with >100 horses! Aster continued her winning ways at the HITS I Commonweath National Show on April 16-20, 2008 where she placed first in her Level 3 class (ending Reserve Champion of the Division) as well as placements in the Level 2 Division. Aster was re-started under saddle in October 2006 after her foal was weaned. She has made amazing progress as seen in these schooling pictures taken in mid-December 2006. Note her beautiful haircut--she was bodyclipped for the first time without incident or tranquilizer. |

While Aster was still "green" over jumps (this photo is from her 3rd time schooling over fences in December 2007) she showed much scope and good technique even over this relatively small jump of 2'6". |

Aster has been an exceptional broodmare, producing all Premium foals. Aster's 2004 foal, Athena by Ruffian, earned a Premium award despite being only two weeks old at her inspection. Resolute, Aster's 2005 colt, also received a Premium rating and was named top foal. Carrying on the legacy, Allelujah, born on May 22, 2006, earned a Premium Award on September 10, 2006. Aster is now under saddle and for sale as a Hunter/Jumper. |
