Axiom (Argentinus/Freiherr/Grannus) is Aster's sire and descends from the most famous and proven European bloodlines. Axiom, a flashy 17H dark bay born in 1993, is a Class I licensed stallion who completed his Performance test in Neustadt/Dosse in 1997 with 122 points putting him in fourth place overall. Axiom also placed in the conformation class. He was certified for breeding by the German Oldenburg Verband and sold through the Elite Auction in Vechta to Margret Gafford of Virginia. Axiom is equally talented in dressage and jumping and currently competes on the Hunter circuit in southern California. He is pictured below, showing his beautiful jumping form with his young rider in Pebble Beach. |
