Aster

1999 German Oldenburg Verband Mare
Axiom / Pas Seul xx / High Finance xx
Aster is registered German Oldenburg Verband and is in the Main Studbook of the Westfälischen Pferdestammbuch eV. She is an elastic and powerful mover demonstrating 3 very correct gaits. She is pictured above jumping with trainer, Kenny Krome, at a HITS show in Ocala, FL in 2008.
Aster’s sire, Axiom (Argentinus / Freiherr), is a Class I stallion who excels in both dressage and jumping. He currently competes on the Hunter/Jumper circuit. Aster’s dam, a GOV Main Studbook Approved Thoroughbred, has a much sought after sporthorse pedigree that includes Bold Ruler and Northern Dancer in the first three generations.
Aster has been an exceptional broodmare, producing all Premium foals. Aster’s 2004 foal, Athena by Ruffian, earned a Premium award despite being only two weeks old at her inspection. Resolute, Aster’s 2005 colt, also received a Premium rating and was named top foal. Carrying on the legacy, Allelujah, born on May 22, 2006, earned a Premium Award on September 10, 2006 and was the top moving filly.
Aster is also a very talented jumper and was in training with noted judge and course designer, Kenny Krome, at Persimmon Tree Farm in Westminster, Maryland. After a short time in training, she did quite well with him at Swan Lake December 23rd, 2007 (three clean rounds and placed 2nd & 4th in the two jump-off classes they participated in). In February-March 2008, Aster spent 3 weeks with Kenny in Ocala, FL where Aster jumped clean and fast and even placed in a few classes with >100 horses! Aster continued her winning ways at the HITS I Commonweath National Show on April 16-20, 2008 where she placed first in her Level 3 classes (ending Reserve Champion of the Division).
Congratulations to Silver Creek Farms in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, who have purchased Aster. We know that she will have a wonderful life in her new home.
