Westminster is Baronessa's dam's damsire. Westminster, a black son of Weltmeister, was born in 1980. This big, shiny black stallion has a huge appearance and a springy, swinging way of moving under saddle. Westminster's sire, Weltmeister, was one of the most used stallions in Oldenburg. In 1983, Weltmeister produced the licensing champion, Welttraum and the Vice Champion, Wandertag, who was later sold to the Netherlands. Weltmeister sired numerous States Premium mares, such as the DLG Champion Weltdame, more than 20 licensed stallions, including Westminster and Welt As, and many Elite auction foals and horses, such as Robert Dover's Grand Priz mount, Walzertakt. Weltmeister also sired many successful jumpers, including Warum 10 and Sir Winston 5. Westminster's dam, Iskia, a large-framed daughter of Inschallah, had a highly noble appearance from her Arabian heritage. Westminster's granddam and great-granddam from the sire's side, include the notable stallions, Domänenrat and Agram, both large, high-performing stallions. Westminster, whose pedigree includes Inschallah and Agram, carries valuable Arabian blood and thus is a stallion with extraordinary relevance. Westminster's granddam, Dolosa, has offspring that were successful in both jumping and dressage, which is no surprise since her sire Domänenrat I, and grandsire, Agram, were both leading jumping sires of their time in Hannover. In 1989 and 1990, the wins and placings of Westminster's first two foal crops put him in second place of all stallions born in the same year. Westminster's most important offspring are the jumping horses, Whitney 31 and Weihaiwej, who both competed in the 1990 Bundeschampionat Finals in Verden, and the 1989 PSI Auction horse, Woodstock, who sold for 350.000 DM . Westminster had one licensed son in Germany, Winner and numerous, highly valued, States Premium mares. Westminster also had one licensed son in the United States, named West Coast. West Coast, a Hanoverian stallion owned by Judy Arnold of Stonecrop Farm, was the winner of his 100-Day Test in 1998. |
